Policy makers attending the Tax Watch ARNP Scope of Practice Summit heard from nursing and business leaders on how regulations are hurting Florida.

Sandra Ryan of Walgreen's Take Care Clinics painted a bleak picture of how regulations are stifling growth here in the Sunshine State. Associated Industries' Tome Feeney was a guest panelist. He expressed grave concern about the burdens to tax payers and businesses if ARNP restrictive laws are not removed.

Stan Whittaker chair of FLANP presented an eight inch thick binder  containing  research articles regarding the high quality cost effective care ARNPs deliver. It was an effective visual tool to let policy makers know we have evidence to back up our claims.

Several FLANP members stayed over night to lobby at the capitol. Pat Waherenberger and Susan Lynch were interviewed by Capitol news service and FLANP was asked to do an interview on NPR radio Wednesday. Pat Waherneberger did the NPr interview with Representative Michele Vasilinda. They talked about Medicaid, the "Dr." title bill, DEA

licensure and full scope practice ability.
