Opportunities to Sit on Statewide Medical Care Advisory Subcommittee Respond by Oct 14

FLANP Chair Stan Whittaker sits on the Medical Care Advisory Committee for our state. This committee is looking for members to sit on newly forming subcommittees to help address medical issues in our state.

These committees include:

• Managed Long Term Care
• HIV/AIDS
• Children, Including Safeguards and Performance measures related to Foster Children
• Dental Care for Children
• Behavioral Health/Substance Use Disorder Services

We are in the early stages in forming these groups. I see meeting every quarter however we have not gotten the times or place. There will be a discussion on the 15 th, our next Advisory council meeting on how to precede with the subgroups.

This is the best time to get in on the ground floor and give nursing input.

I require a Bio and CV to submit. Others non-nursing groups are submitting recommendations as well.
