Plan now to join nurse practitioners across the country in a "virtual lobby day" Thursday, October 6, in contacting members of Congress to support the "Home Health Care Planning Improvement Act of 2011" (H.R. 2267/S. 227). As Washington struggles to find ways to control health care spending and reduce the budget deficit, our legislators must recognize that enabling nurse practitioners to order home health services will make Medicare more cost effective.
