SB 1750 Passes Senate Health Regulation Committees

Posted over 13 years ago by Stanley F Whittaker

This announcement is from Susan Lynch:

HB 1195/ SB 1750  will allow ARNPs and PAs to sign a certificate of involuntary examination for patients who are suicidal or homicidal.

Presently PAs may sign Baker Act under a ruling issued, but we know rules can change, so the PAs asked to be added to our bill. We were very happy to do this.

Please email Senator Siplin and Rep. Campbell to thank them for working so hard on these bills.

The bill will now move to Senate Budget and House Judiciary.

Please email Rep Snyder,Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and ask him to agenda the HB 1195. Also email the Judiciary committeemembers and ask for their support of this bill.

This bill may go quickly to the Senate floor for a vote so Please email all of the senate members and ask them to support this bill
